🤦 Only Ed… 🤦

A normal person would see a bag of Taco Bell sitting in a hot truck for 72 hours and think "biohazard." Ed sees it and thinks "lunch." Temperature? Irrelevant. Expiration? Merely a suggestion. The truck was described as "very warm." The chalupa was described as "still good, probably." Medical science has no explanation for why Ed is alive.

Details are classified. What we know: there was a scooter. There was Ed. There was a moment where Ed's continued existence on this earth was genuinely in question. Witnesses say Ed walked away. The scooter did not. Ed called it "fine." Everyone else called their therapists.

Green is just a color. Fuzzy is just a texture. Ed's immune system has been through so much that at this point the mold is probably afraid of Ed. Pizza was reportedly "still cheesy in the middle." Ed finished the slice. Ed was fine. The pizza was not fine. It had been not fine for several days.

If you thought Ed's food philosophy stopped at savory items, you thought wrong. The pecan pie had been sitting out. It had developed character. It had developed a full ecosystem. Ed ate it anyway. "Pecans don't go bad," Ed reportedly said, with total confidence. Pecans, Ed. The pecans were fine. It was everything else that was a problem.

Most people look at a snowbank and think "obstacle." Ed looked at a snowbank and thought "ramp." The snowbank, unfortunately, had a large rock hiding inside it — a fact Ed did not discover until the truck was already airborne. The truck did not survive the landing with its dignity intact. Ed did survive, which continues to confuse physicists. The rock was unharmed and has since been used as a cautionary monument.

Ed shot a hole in the siding on his house. This is not the first time. We know this because when Ed told his mother Doris, her exact response was:

When Ed wakes up after a night that would hospitalize most humans, he does not reach for Gatorade. He does not reach for water. He does not reach for a Tylenol and a quiet room.

This is, medically speaking, the opposite of what you are supposed to do. And yet, it works. For Ed. Every time. The machine gets greased. The hangover retreats. Ed emerges victorious, smelling of Burger King, ready to do it all again. Doctors hate him. BK loves him. The machine runs on.

A witness submitted a story labeled simply "Test." We've learned not to ask questions. With Ed, "test" can mean anything from "minor stupid thing" to "Ed-defied-gravity-again." What we know: the danger level was marked "moderate," which in Ed's world means "would have killed a normal person, but Ed's just getting warmed up." The exact details remain classified, but rest assured: Ed survived. Ed always does.
